Caramel Dumplings

- 1 pinchSalt
- 0.5 tbspButter
- 0.33 cupSugar
- 1 tspVanilla essence
- 0.33 cupMilk
- 0.5 tbspButter(for sauce)
- 1.5 cupsBrown sugar
- 1 pinchSalt(for sauce)
- 1.5 cupsWater

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl.

Rub in butter and add sugar.

Pour in combined milk and vanilla. Mix well.

For the sauce combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan, stir constantly until boiling, reduce heat.

Drop tablespoonfuls of dumpling mixture into the sauce.

Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
