Golden Syrup Dumplings

Ingredients
- 1 cupSR flour
- 1 pinchSalt
- 30 gButter
- 1 wholeEgg
- 4 tbspMilk
- 1 cupWater
- 1 tbspGolden syrup
- 0.5 cupCastor sugar
- 1 tbspButter(extra)

Sift the flour and salt and rub in butter.

Add in egg and milk, mix to a soft dough.

For the syrup, place the water, golden syrup, sugar and extra butter in a large saucepan.

Stir until boiling.

Drop in spoonfuls of dough into the syrup.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently for 20 minutes.
