Ingredients

  • 1 litreMilk
  • 3 tbspCornflour
  • 3 tbspCustard powder
  • 125 mlCold milk
  • 2 tbspSugar
  • 1 wholeEgg
  • 1 tspVanilla essence
  • 1 pktSweet biscuits

Instructions

    Warm the milk and sugar in a saucepan and bring to the boil.

    In a bowl mix cornflour and custard powder with cold milk.

    Add egg and vanilla essence and beat.

  4. 4

    Then add the hot milk and sugar mixture while stirring.

  5. 5

    Rinse saucepan with cold water and return custard mix to the stove.

    Stir constantly with a wooden spoon until thick and let boil for a few minutes.

    Line the bottom of a square cake tin with a layer of biscuits.

    Pour hot custard over the base and top with another layer of biscuits and ice.
